The HVAC system will be unable to function unless the control board is installed as it should be according to the manufacturer. The control board is created to control the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor as well as the air circulator all in one unit. It is imperative that you select wisely when you decide to replace your control board due to the vast differences in HVAC systems. The selected board must have a matching part number consistent with the brand and the model of the system you have installed.
Simple indications of a weakening main board
- The HVAC system has to be powered down and back up frequently for it to run correctly
