Goodman ARUF172916 Control Board
The control board is designed to operate everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors and the blower all together. The HVAC system will be unable to operate without the control board configured and seated properly. Be very careful while choosing a new control board due to so many small differences in models within certain brands. The selected board should have a replacement part number that matches the brand and the model of air handler system you have.
Major signs your Goodman control board will not live much longer
- AC or heating system will not go whatsoever
- The power to the system has to be reset habitually for the thermostat to kick in
- There is an error code shown on the control board
