Whynter ARC-12S Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is a contraption that senses the exact flame when the system starts. As you would probably could have guessed, if the sensor produces an error the gas valve is shut off and the system halts for as long as the problem remains.
Clues of an ineffective Whynter flame sensor
- The heat system cannot produce heat when the control board tells it to
- HVAC system will run intermittently barely
- The type of gas you use will not even try to start an ignition sequence no matter what
