Whynter ARC-10WB Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a safety feature that can sense the correct flame while the system is starting. As with other safety devices, when the sensor is triggered by an event the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the problem is fixed.
Indications of an unhealthy flame sensor
- The gas entering the furnace has a tough time trying to properly ignite and the system throws an error code
- The entire heating system will sometimes work occasionally whenever it pleases
