It is impossible for your furnace or air handler to even function lest the main control board is in place and connected. The control board is created to control everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors as well as the air circulator all at once. Be absolutely sure upon choosing a board as a replacement because of the many variances of HVAC systems. The proper control board will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and model of furnace or air handler you have.
