Goodman GPC1448H41AB Flame Sensor
A flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will sense the appropriate flame during ignition. Due to safety concerns, if the sensor get triggered the furnace will not start until the problem is repaired.
What warnings are present when my flame sensor is about to go out?
- The heating system cannot generate heat and shows an error code on the board
- The gas cannot start an ignition sequence and the system throws an error code
- The entire heating system will start rarely at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
