Goodman GPC1330H21A Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board determines when or if to start an important defrosting cycle if necessary, to get rid of the frost that collects on the outdoor unit. It is relayed information from a sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to agree when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Major signs of a declining defrost board
- Your HVAC system will not run due to the fact of the amount of frost on the outdoor unit
- The defrost sequence will not kick in even though there is a lot of frost that has built up
- The main circuit board may show an alphanumeric error code if the defrost board fails
