Goodman GKS90703BX Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a contraption that senses the flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As with most safety features, if the flame sensor is triggered the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the main issue is remedied.
Symptoms of a worsening Goodman flame sensor
- The whole system kicks in infrequently when the time is right
- The heating system will not begin working and produces an error code on the circuit board
- The LP or natural gas has difficulty trying to begin igniting and shuts itself off
