A flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that will consistently detect the proper flame when the system starts. Due to the overall safety issue, if the sensor get triggered the system will halt until the problem is fixed.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my primary flame sensor is dying?
- Your gas furnace will not ramp up when you have it set to
- The LP or natural gas will not start an ignition sequence no matter what you do
- HVAC system will kind of run rarely at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
