A transformer is used in many applications including heating and cooling systems and it transforms household electrical current from a certain voltage to another. If a transformer needs replacing, it would be a good idea to buy one that is assessed for the right voltage value that is needed. Transformers can all be different so be sure you replace it with the same electrical needs.
Major indications your Goodman transformer has little life left
- No volts measured from a main transformer for whatever reason
- Voltage transformer physically looks damaged or may smell burnt while the system is turned on
- Many different volts can be measured across the transformer
