When any transformer needs to be replaced, it would be a good idea to buy one that is measured to the right voltage that you need replaced. Heating and cooling transformers may have specific specs and you must follow specific volts called for with the original.

- Zero volts leaving the transformer while using a measuring device
- Many different volts is measured from the output of the system transformer
- Transformer shows damage or may smell burnt when it is in use
