Goodman DSXC160601 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will reliable sense the acceptable flame when the system starts. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor generated a error the whole HVAC system will remain stopped for as long as the problem remains.
Symptoms of a worsening safety flame sensor
- The entire heating system works occasionally only
- Your furnace refuses to begin operations when the control board tells it to
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace will not begin an ignition sequence and shut down

Before buying or ordering a new Goodman DSXC160601 replacement part, do your due diligence and cross-check the model number as well as make a visual inspection in order to be sure the correct flame sensor is being ordered.
