The fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat that needs to be dispelled into the air. The motor can be replaced with or without the blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and cheaper for you. It is critical that the replacement motor has the similar voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor.
