The Carrier 38EYG060 control board is constructed to command everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors as well as the air circulator all in one unit. Heating and cooling systems will not even run at all unless this important circuit board is properly connected to the unit. You must be sure when you are choosing a replacement board due to variances between models within certain brands. The control board you choose should match the model number with the brand and the model of the system you have installed.
