The defrost sensor board determines when or if to start the defrost sequence in order to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The defrost board is relayed information from a temperature sensor located near the condenser to decide when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Signals the defrost sensor board will have to be replaced
- Your HVAC system will not run due in part to the safety issue that the frost poses
- Defrosting has not run for quite some time especially when there is a rather large amount of frost that needs to be removed
- The main control board could throw a type of error code referring to a failing defrost control board
