Trane GEH Limit Switch

The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that decides if and when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
