Sanyo KHS1872 Control Board
The control board is created to direct the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor as well as the blower all at once. HVAC systems will not activate without the main control board in connected and operational. Be very careful when you are deciding on a replacement due to the many differences between models within certain brands. The board you choose will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and specific model of the unit you have installed.
Key symptoms to watch for in a bad control board
- The board has to be reset quite often for the thermostat to kick in
- Entire unit ceases to work well
- When turned on, there is numbered code being shown somewhere on the board
