The control board is created to regulate the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all together. HVAC systems will not be able to function without the board configured and seated properly. Be very careful when you decide to replace your control board because of the diversity of models within certain brands. The board that you will choose will have a matching part number that will fit in both the brand and specific model of air handler system you have.
