This heat element forces the air to be heated up prior to being dispersed through the ducts. Your furnace cannot possible make any heat to heat the home properly if the heat element will not work right.
Major signs of a weak main heat element
- No heat is being delivered by the system for an extended period of time
- Internal heat element seems to be old, stressed and in dire need of replacing
- Furnace element does not heat up to the desired temperature due to its age
