Lennox XC17 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will consistently detect the acceptable flame upon ignition. As expected, if the sensor goes off everything comes to a halt until the problem is fixed.
Simple warnings that your primary flame sensor is almost going bad?
- The heating system kicks in occasionally at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The gas entering the furnace refuses to try to begin an ignition sequence under any circumstance
- The gas furnace refuses to produce heat and spits out an error code on the main board
