Lennox XC14-018 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is an important safety feature that can sense the appropriate flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As with most safety features, if the sensor goes off the entire HVAC system will stop until the problem is repaired.
Major clues the primary flame sensor has very little life left
- The unit will sort of operate sometimes only
- The heat system is unwilling to supply heat and shuts down
- The type of gas you use has problems trying to begin igniting and shuts off
