Lennox RL-45 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a device that can reliably detect the acceptable flame upon ignition. As with any other safety sensor, if the flame sensor is triggered the furnace will not start until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Elements of a bad furnace flame sensor
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace has a tough time trying to properly ignite no matter what
- The furnace will sometimes work on certain occasions but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
- The heating system refuses to work and shuts down
