Lennox HPXA12-036 Ignition Control Board
The ignition control board is a safety device that governs the main gas intake valve, the igniter and some more sensing equipment. It is an important electronic circuit board that, over the years, has merged to become a part of the main control board for safety reasons.
Major indications of a dying chief ignition control board
- The on-signal from the main thermostat does not turn up at the main control board
- Heating and cooling system does not begin even when the thermostat kicks it on
- Every other problem in the HVAC system is inspected and seems to be a-OK
