The control board is constructed to oversee everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the air circulator all together. The HVAC system will be unable to operate whatsoever unless this board is in connected and operational. The board you choose should match the model number with both the make and model of the system you have installed. You must do some research when you are choosing a replacement board because of the wide variety of heating and cooling systems.
Major clues your Lennox control board will have to be replaced
