Lennox G40UH-24A-045X Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board determines when or if to start the defrosting phase in order to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. The board looks to a temperature sensor located near the condenser to determine when the defrost cycle should begin.
General warnings of a dying defrost board
- The whole system may end up not running because of frost blocking the airflow outside
- Your main control board might issue an error number if the defrost board goes out
- Self defrost sequence never kicks in even when there is a large quantity of frost on the external unit
