The compressor fan motor has the main duty of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dissipated. Just make sure the new motor has the correct voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this will reduce install time and cheaper for you.
