The control board is created to control the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor as well as the blower all at once. HVAC systems will not run without the main control board accurately installed and configured. Be very careful when you choose a replacement due to differences in models and types. The brand of board you choose should have a replacement part number that matches both the brand and model of air handler system you have.
