A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that senses, or governs, when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches were created because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Some warnings of a failing critical limit switch
- Your International Comfort Products system will not initiate nor will it stay running like it should
- Your system begins to runs uneven more often than not
