A limit switch was crafted because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that determines if and when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower.
Indications limit switch needs to be replaced
- The heating and cooling system will not initiate or will not stay running like it should
- The HVAC system is starting to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly repeatedly
