Your air handler will be unable to function unless this important circuit board is installed. The control board is made to operate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors and the blower all at once. Any control board you choose should have part numbers that match both the brand and model of furnace or air handler you have. You should always be careful when you decide to replace your control board due to so many small differences in HVAC systems.
Main clues your primary control board will need replacing
- Power to the circuit board needs to be reset frequently in order to run
- There may be a strange code appearing on the control board
- The whole unit will not go period
