Your air handler will be unable to function without the control board in connected and operational. The control board is designed to control the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors as well as the air circulator all together. The proper control board will need to pair with the part number from both the brand and model of air handler system you have. You must be sure upon choosing a board as a replacement due to the vast differences in brand and air handler types.
