A vent blower, aka draft inducer, is just one out of many safety designs within your furnace.Also referred by some as a draft inducer blower, as a job it performs is to provide ample air draft for a cleaner and much safer gas combustion.
Simple indications of a worsening primary draft inducer
- The draft inducer does not turn on at the beginning of the onset of the startup sequence
- Power is getting to the draft inducer motor but the motor stands still
- The blower in your furnace is unable to function at full speed
