The control board is made to operate everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all at once. Heating and cooling systems will not even operate whatsoever unless this important circuit board is hooked up and is correctly configured. You must be careful when you choose a replacement due to so many small differences in certain brands. The board that you will choose will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the make and model of air handler system you have.
Major clues of a weakening primary control board
