The flame sensor is a safety feature that senses the precise flame upon ignition. For obvious reasons, if the sensor get triggered the system will halt until the problem is repaired.
What are some hints that my primary flame sensor has a need to be replaced?
- The propane or natural gas has problems trying to start an ignition sequence and shuts off
- The furnace refuses to generate heat and produces an error code on the circuit board
- System will operate occasionally whenever it pleases
