A transformer is used for many products which also includes your heating system and it converts the electrical output from one voltage to another. Transformers can all be different and you should be aware of the specific voltage readings. When you replace one, it would be good to get one that is assessed for the correct voltage for the sake of safety.
What symptoms are present when the unit transformer is crapping out?
- Voltage transformer shows cracks or fractures or smells burnt while in use
- Not a single volt can be found exiting the system transformer while using a measuring device
- Different volts is found coming from the transformer
