The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that senses the acceptable flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor produces an error the whole system stops until obstacle is corrected.
What symptoms are present when the primary flame sensor has a need to be replaced?
- The gas furnace will not generate heat when you crank the thermostat up
