The main heat element allows fresh air to be heated before the blower has it distributed throughout the house. Your furnace will find it impossible to produce nearly enough heated air for an entire house if the heat element is faulty.

- Heating element appears worn, quite rusty and in rough shape
- Heating element finds it difficult to heat up or reach the desired temperature because it is probably worn out
