The heating element forces the air to be heated up before the blower has it distributed throughout the house. Your furnace is unable to produce enough heat to efficiently heat, if your heating element is somehow defective.
Symptoms of a poorly performing heat element
- Heat element appears worn out, quite rusty and in dire need of replacing
- There is no heat made by your furnace at all
- Furnace element will not heat up or not warm enough to produce heat because it is probably worn out
