The motor can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this will reduce install time and make it a probable DIY project. Please make sure the replacement motor has the correct voltage as well as amps as on the current fan motor.
Symptoms of a faulty compressor fan motor
- The cooling motor catches fire or shorts out while in use
- The Goodman motor does not move the blade
- You may hear rubbing noise when the motor turns
