Goodman GMH Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is a contraption that will consistently detect the flame when igniting the system. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor produces an error the system will halt until that particular problem is fixed.
Key indicators that my Goodman flame sensor has a need to be replaced?
- The unit will start occasionally only
- The gas furnace will not begin working when it is supposed to
- The gas entering the furnace cannot begin an ignition sequence and the control shows an error

Before you decide on buying or ordering any Goodman GMH replacement part, do your due diligence and make sure of the model number as well as make a visual inspection so that you are positive that the right flame sensor is the one being purchased.
