In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a special kind of new age resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that is governed by the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. The system must know the temp in several different areas to understand what is going on. They inform the system when a certain temperature reaches a certain point.
What are the clues to watch out for to know my all-important thermister is not working properly?
