Goodman GCV9 Control Board
The control board is made to control the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. Your furnace or AC will not function unless this board is configured and seated properly. The chosen circuit board will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the brand and model of your particular system. You must do some research when you are choosing a replacement board because of the diversity of models within certain brands.
What red flags are there that my main circuit board is in need of replacing?
- The AC or furnace will not work well
- The power to the system has to be reset rather frequently in order to run
- There may be a numbered error code displayed on the circuit board
