A thermistor is a specific kind of resistor that has a fluctuating resistance that changes as it depends on thermal temperature. They can tell the system control board when a certain temperature reaches a certain point. The system interprets the temperature in a few critical areas to do its job as it should.
How do you know if your thermister is almost dead?
