A basic electrical transformer is quite common in electrical appliances including your AC or furnace and it transforms household electrical current from 120V to 24V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers can all be different and you should be aware of the specific volts and amps requirements. If you are going to replace a transformer, be sure to purchase a transformer that is correctly assessed for the right voltage value for the sake of safety.

- Little or no power gauged exiting the system transformer while tested with the unit on
- Inaccurate voltage can be measured stemming from the chief transformer
- The transformer seems melted or may smell burnt when being used
