The defrost control board will begin the defrost sequence which may be necessary to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The defrost sensor board depends on a temperature sensor located somewhere by the condenser to ascertain when the defrost cycle should begin.
Signals of a deteriorating outdoor defrost sensor board
- The HVAC system control board could throw an alphanumeric error code when the defrost control board refuses to initialize properly
