Goodman ARPT Air Filter
It is suggested the your furnace filter is replaced for a clean one every 90 days or so to maintain the best air quality through the ducts. The actual dimensions of the filter is not really a personal choice due to the requirement of whoever designed your heating and cooling system. Filters exist in many different filtering types in which the one you choose will depend on your air quality needs and the specific size of filter you need for your system.
Symptoms the primary air filter will need to be replaced
- The filter looks brown and replacing it would be best without delay
- If you place a light source behind it, the light will barely breach the other side of a very dirty air filter
- Manufacturers have suggested to replace the filter every three months to keep the air inside clean and free of harmful dust
