HVAC systems will not run at all unless this board is accurately installed and configured. The control board is made to regulate the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. The board you select should have part numbers that match both the brand and model of the system you have installed. Be very careful when you choose a replacement due to the vast differences in models within certain brands.
Clues of a defective control board
- The system has to be turned off and back on quite a lot for it to run correctly
- AC unit or heating unit cannot initialize period
- System has a type of code shown on the circuit board
