Goodman AEPT060 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a regulatory sensor that senses the correct flame when igniting the system. As with any other safety sensor, if the flame sensor senses a problem everything comes to a halt until obstacle is corrected.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my primary flame sensor has a need to be replaced?
- The unit will start rarely when the time is right
- The heat system is unable to fire up and will shut everything down
- LP or natural gas cannot begin igniting and some type of error flashes on the main board
