Goodman AEPT036 Control Board
The control board is made to oversee everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors and the blower all at once. Your furnace or AC will not activate lest the circuit board is in place and connected. The board you choose will have a part number that will match both the make and model of air handler system you have. You must be careful while picking a new replacement board because of the many variances of models within certain brands.
Major indications of a declining main circuit board
- The control board has to be powered down and back up all the time for the system to operate once again
- Could be an a flashing error code showing up on the board
- The heating and cooling system cannot do anything well
