Goodman ADV Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is a simple device used in a wide variety of products including your HVAC system as it is used to convert electrical output to a different voltage, 120V to 12V, for example. Transformers may have specific specs so make sure you meet the amps and voltages needed. If one needs replacing, make sure you buy the one that is assessed for the right voltage value that is demanded.
What symptoms are present when the electrical transformer is on its last leg?
- No power calculated at the output of the transformer block using a voltmeter
- System transformer looks melted or smells burnt when it has electricity going through it
- Wrongly displayed volts is calculated from the output of the chief transformer
